Today I am thrilled to share another Military Mom and Spouse who has made some great strides in her at-home business. Before I begin, I must say getting to know these women and how they keep everything together with their family dynamics of this lifestyle brings me back to the days when we were active duty.
Having a first child outside the United States
Kaitlyn has been a military spouse nearly ten years and has moved a few times, to include an overseas assignment to Japan, and this is where her oldest child was born. For those not attached to the military, it may seem almost impossible to think of your first-born child across the globe and away from extended family. For those of us in this lifestyle, it’s quite common. Kaitlyn loves the fact they get to travel to a new place and experience the cultures as a family.
As a mom of 3 children now, Kaitlyn wasn’t looking for a job or a business opportunity to make an income when Juice Plus came into her life. She told me the business found her. She was researching ways to clean up their family’s nutrition after her oldest son’s diagnoses. A friend of hers shared about a product that was scientifically proven and published in multiple medical journals. She knew with whole based nutrition from 30 different fruits and vegetables this product could work for her family.
Blinders on helped the business flourish
She dove into the business with blinders on and was glad to have been offered something so nutritiously beneficial to the family, as she later learned that all three boys and she personally have the same kidney disease. With the change of their diets and beginning a healthier path, medications have been very minimal need with this disease.
As the life of a military entrepreneur spouse would have it, when her business was beginning to show growth, her husband received orders to Hawaii. She knew this would be a challenge to gain traction in another location, but luckily for her, she likes to meet new people and hear their personal stories.
It took Kaitlyn a while to show financial growth in her business, but not because the products weren’t exceptional or the business opportunity wasn’t a good one. It was more like the similar stories you hear in a network marketing or direct sales company. She wanted to make sure the products worked for them before sharing it with others. She was also quite busy with two toddlers and a newborn baby too.
Team growth equals income growth
Once she put her mind at ease with the products assisting their family’s nutrition goals, she decided it was time to open up how her family benefited from the products. Before she knew it, she was gaining customers and team members which propelled her to the income over $1,000/month. Many other advantages came with their family and the addition of the Juice Plus products. The kids weren’t sick as often, she craved less sugar and sweets, and all were sleeping much better. Her husband went from severe seasonal allergies to almost none existent with the change in their nutrition habits and adding in the Juice Plus products too.
Kaitlyn’s passion for helping others and sharing how proper nutrition has been such an advantage in their family’s fight with this kidney disease is what propelled her to take things to the next level. She enrolled in few different nutrition courses and is now a Certified Health Coach in the area of family, children, pregnant mothers and the elderly. She feels a sense of heartwarming to bless other families with the gift of health and see them get better with something as simple as bringing in more fruits and vegetables to their dietary habits.
When I interviewed Kaitlyn for this post, she was in Boise, ID visiting family. I was born there but never felt as though I was from there. My father was military and moved when I was only 3 years old. I felt a closeness to Kaitlyn immediately as we both have many of the same nutrition and health coaching certifications and she has family in Idaho. It’s a real joy to meet all of the mom’s I have throughout my journey to share how they can make a difference in their family’s financial goals working from home.
